Annual Honey Springs Memorial Service

Join the Oklahoma Historical Society on July 18 at the Honey Springs Battlefield Historic Site. A memorial service will recognize the anniversary of the Battle of Honey Springs, the largest Civil War battle in what is now Oklahoma. The program will begin at 10 a.m.

2015 Honey Springs Battle Reenactment

Education Day: November 6 | Reenactment: November 7-8

The Battle of Honey Springs, fought July 17, 1863, was the most important engagement of the Civil War in Indian Territory.
The 2015 Honey Springs Battle Reenactment weekend activities include two battle reenactments and self-guided tours through the Union, Confederate, and civilian camps. Witness various military drills, cooking demonstrations, and other living history programs. Visit “sutler’s row,” featuring a number of vendors selling reproductions of 19th century military equipment, clothes, books, and other souvenirs.

Reenactments begin at 1pm. Admission is $5 for adults; children 12 and under are free.
